Two parked cars were severely damaged after a suspected hit and run in Coventry. A photo, taken by a shocked local resident, shows two badly damaged vehicles parked in Upper Eastern Green Lane.

One car has significant front-end damage on the driver's side while the car behind it has a severely crumpled bonnet. Debris can be seen sprawled out across the road.

According to a resident, a vehicle hit the first car almost head-on. The force of the impact then pushed the car into the one parked behind. It's thought no one was injured in the crash which happened at around 8.30am on Friday, November 18.

The resident told CoventryLive: "We've been having issues with drivers speeding along Upper Eastern Green Lane. I don't know what's happening with drivers these days! A lot of dangerous driving."

It's just the latest crash to involve parked vehicles in Coventry.

In October, several parked cars were found smashed up after a DPD van allegedly crashed into them. A resident in Shakespeare Street was woken up by a load bang and said he witnessed his car being hit by the van. The van was later discovered not far from the scene of the crash.

The victim's car was so badly damaged he has since been told it is a write off. DPD believes the van was 'stolen' and is currently investigating the incident.
