But it is not for long

An hourly service between Nuneaton and Euston stations is to make a return to the timetable - more than a decade after it was axed. Avanti West Coast Service has revealed that from December 11 a full timetable will operate which will include one train per hour each way between London Euston to Manchester.

It will stop at Nuneaton's Trent Valley Station. The service will run until May next year and Nuneaton's MP Marcus Jones has said that he will push for them to continue.

He, alongside the Nuneaton, Bedworth and Hinckley Community Rail Group, have welcomed the new off and on peak link to the capital, but the town's voice in Parliament wants to secure it long term. "This is issue I have raised with Avanti for some time and I will continue to press the need for continued improvements from May 2023," he said.

"Frankly the current service isn’t good enough and it is only right that Avanti are taking the steps needed to return to providing a frequent and welcoming service which is more reliable and dependable. I will continue to monitor this situation closely but I am pleased at this significant announcement."

The announcement from Avanti West Coast Service will not impact the London Northwestern services, which remain the same.
