A man was arrested at the scene in Stoke Heath

Armed police were called to Stoke Heath in Coventry on Tuesday evening after a man was threatened with a knife. Cops rushed to the scene at about 6pm.

A number of police vehicles and armed police were seen at the junction of Caludon Road and Clay Lane. Police say that they were called after a man was threatened by his friend with a knife.

A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene. However, despite the heavy police presence in the area, no charges have been brought as the victim did not want to make a complaint.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "We were called to a property on Clay Lane, Coventry at 6pm on Tuesday (6 September) following reports a man was threatened by a friend with a knife.

"A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of making threats with an offensive weapon. He has been released without charge after the victim did not want to make a complaint."
