Coventry Police have warned motorists to park their vehicles considerately after a number were towed away by officers on Wednesday. The vehicles drew the attention of St Michaels Team 2 due to their manner of parking.

Police said further checks indicated the vehicles had no insurance or road tax. Posting to Twitter on Wednesday night, Coventry City Centre Police said: "A number of vehicles came to the attention of St Michaels Team 2 on patrols today due to their manner of parking - further checks showed these vehicles to have no insurance/tax!

"Parking on pavements and blocking pathways creates issues for pedestrians. #parkitdontplonkit."

Coventry City Council offers an online form for residents to report parking problems. It says: "You can report a parking problem that is causing you concern in the area covered by Coventry City Council. We will investigate whether we can help with the issues that you have raised.

"We employ 27 Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs) to enforce parking restrictions throughout Coventry. They work 7 days a week on a shift pattern. Please note that it will not always be possible to send an officer to deal with an issue immediately."

That's soon-to-be-demolished Trafalgar House in Spon End. I'm surprised anyone still lives there!
