Two men 'steal hundreds of pounds of items from cars and parcels' outside Coventry homes

Police hope to return the items back to the original owners in Beake Avenue, Coventry



Two thieves allegedly stole items worth hundreds of pounds including gadgets, headphones, perfumes and clothes.

Police stopped two men along Beake Avenue in Coventry and recovered several items from the suspected thieves.

The pair were found carrying children's clothes with tags on, Under Armour headphones, Bluetooth ear buds, a Batman gift set, perfume and a bottle of wine.

Officers believe the items were stolen from cars or parcels left at homes.

Coventry Police have issued an appeal to find the original owners of these items and return them back safely.

Sharing a photo of the seized items, the force wrote on Twitter: "Recognise any of these items that we recovered from 2 suspected thieves in #Coventry?

"Children’s clothes with tags on, Under Armour headphones, Bluetooth ear buds, Batman gift set, Perfume ...and a bottle of wine. We need to find the owners..."

They added: "We seized them from 2 men in Beake Avenue.

"We suspect they’ve been stolen from cars or parcels left at homes. If you’ve had any of these items taken get in touch so we can build a picture of the offending & act against the suspects."
