A woman was hit on the head by a live budgie after it was dropped from the sky by a hungry seagull.
Jill Newman and her mother Betty Keegan show their unexpected avian windfall to grandson Joshua Jill Newman was eating a bag of chips on the Shetland Islands, in the north of Scotland, when the budgie fell on her.
It's thought the seagull saw the chips, opened its mouth and dropped the bird!
After the fall, the budgie flew onto the walls of a castle. It was later caught and is now being looked after by a friend of Mrs Newman.
The bird was really scared and was shaking after being dropped, but it got better after being given some water and seed by a vet.
It's thought the budgie was a pet, but no one knows how the seagull managed to snatch it.
