A McDonald's customer was left 'bun-happy' when she discovered her Cheeseburger was missing the actual burger!

Upon finding a £1 coin in her purse, Billie Magnifique thought she'd treat herself to a 99p Cheeseburger from the McDonald's branch in Queensway, Leamington.

Billie, 39, ordered 'extra pickles', but when she got back to her Leamington home she realised that request had come at the expense of a burger!

"I was so excited as I was opening the wrapper," Billie told WarwickshireLive. "But I was left McDisappointed!

"I think the request for extra pickles must have thrown them!

"I know times are hard, but I wasn't going to drive back to complain about a 99p Cheeseburger."

Billie, who works for a utilities company, posted a snap of her sorry snack on Facebook.

The picture attracted dozens of comments, most of which were from people who had seen the funny side.

"It made a lot of people chuckle," Billie added. "If I can do that it has to be worth it."

A McDonald's spokesperson said: "We are very sorry to hear about this customer’s experience.

"We take order accuracy very seriously and have a number of procedures in place to avoid inaccurate orders.

"We are disappointed that we fell short of these on this occasion.

"If any customer does have a concern, we encourage them to either speak to a member of the crew in the restaurant or get in touch with our customer services team."
