A train derailment has caused delays and cancellations to servicesWest Midlands Railway said the train left the rails close to Leamington Spa station at about 23:00 GMT on Tuesday on the line to Nuneaton.
It described it as a "low-speed derailment" and said no passengers were on it at the time.
The derailed train has since been put back on the rails and moved away from the scene. A full service on the line has since been restored.
However, West Midlands Railway warned that from 27 December the Leamington Spa to Nuneaton line would be served by buses, because of staff shortages.
It said the coronavirus pandemic had had "a significant impact our workforce meaning more of our colleagues are having to self-isolate".
