Gun shots fired at house in Bell Green

Police were called to an address in Coventry after gun shots were fired at a house in the city.

Officers say a window on a house in Bell Green was damaged after being shot at around 1am on Wednesday morning.

They have also confirmed no one at the home was injured.

According to reports on social media, a house on Henley Road was cordoned off by cops for hours after the incident.

CoventryLive understands armed police were at the scene until late Wednesday morning.

One resident who lives nearby said: "I heard a loud bang but I was half asleep so didn't think anything of it - thought it was probably a firework.

"Then I spotted the police the next morning on my way to work and I wondered if it was to do with the bang I'd heard."

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called after gun shots were fired at an address in Henley Road, Coventry, at just after 1am on Wednesday (10 November).

"Damage was caused to a window but no-one inside the property was injured.
