A family who were running a fairground at Godiva Festival finished a weekend's work at the event to find their caravan had been stolen from Hearsall Common.

Krystal and Shaun Rogers, who are based in Bristol, travel the length and breadth of the country setting up fairgrounds at events and were working at Godiva Festival over the weekend of September 4-5.

They returned to their caravan with their two children after a day's work to find their beloved travelling home had been stolen without any witnesses seeing it being taken.

Mr Rogers said: "We've not heard anything about it since it went missing - there has been no trace.

"We were working at Godiva festival and they had no space on the site so all the caravans had to go on Hearsall Common.

"We got back on Sunday at around midnight and it was gone.

"The police said they couldn't do anything about it as there were no witnesses or any CCTV."

Mrs Rogers said that losing the caravan wasn't the hardest part but it was losing the majority of their possessions which were in the their "home" at the time.

She said: "We lost near enough everything we own and there is no sign of getting it back.

"We just want to know if anyone had seen it being stolen.

"We lost all our clothes, our pots and pans, my make up. You just don't know what you miss until it's gone."

The family have since been lent another caravan by Shaun's sister but are desperate to have their possessions returned.
