Fire investigators have launched a probe into the blaze that destroyed an entire warehouse at Prologis Park in Keresley End.

Around 70 firefighters from across Coventry and Warwickshire were involved in the response when the blaze at RAM Enterprise was at its peak.

The building had been evacuated and no one was injured.

A police cordon remains in place this morning with as many as four appliances monitoring the situation.

Relief crews from West Midlands Fire Service are expected to provide support to their colleagues from Warwickshire Fire Service who have led on the incident.

Fire investigators are attempting to establish the cause of the blaze, which started at around 5pm yesterday afternoon.

In a statement issued last night, Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service's area manager Paul Morley said: "Our crews were called to the incident at around 5pm this evening (Thursday).

"Unfortunately, the building was well alight on arrival, but crews acted quickly to contain the fire and stop it spreading to a neighbouring business.

"There was a large smoke plume due to the severity of the fire and residents living in the local area were advised to close windows and doors.

"Our crews will remain on site throughout the evening to ensure the area remains safe. Warwickshire and Coventry Police were also in attendance to manage road closures and to ensure that the public were kept safe."

Officers from the Environment Agency were also in attendance to provide advice and support to help protect the local watercourses and environment.

I could not only see this as I walked home from an afternoon pint, but could hear it. I'd like to know what was stored in there.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
