A woman has been living in a flat which has been suffering leaks for the past year, which has had to be redecorated three times due to water damage.

Sharon Davis lives in the flat in James House, Benedict Square, Coventry, and has had enough of the leaks which have been seeping into and damaging her flat for the past 12 months.

She has been in constant contact with the social housing agency, Citizen Housing, during that time and feels like they do not want to help her.

Mrs Davis said: "It's been going on for 12 months now.

"They've come out and fixed the boiler, the sink and the bath which have all been leaking.

"I've had to decorate three times in the last year as a result of the damage caused by the leaks but every time I do it just gets ruined again.

"I'm having to use air fresheners to cover up the smell of the damp.

"I've heard nothing and now enough is enough.

"It is affecting my mental health condition even more and they still are not interested in sorting this problem out."

She said the damage has started spreading across the ceiling and down one of the walls in her living room and while there has been talk of work being done to fix the problems, nothing seems to be imminent.

She added: "I've been told they've got to take the kitchen cabinets out and some of the wall down to see if the leak is starting in the cavity.

"Throughout all of this there has never been an offer to rehome me temporarily.

"I just want someone to repair the damages."
