The operation aims to disrupt demand for the sex industry in Hillfields, which has been visited by prostitutes for more 30 years, police said.

In a 10-day period, 20 female sex workers, aged between 17 and 35, were given a first caution. Two other women received a second caution.

Police said they aimed "to stop sex working in the area once and for all".

Ah, the annual 'crackdown' ... one / two weeks a year when the Police show their face in Hillfields. Must be so reassuring for the residents.
