Police want to find who is "responsible for potentially putting lives at risk"
Gunshots were fired at a car in a drive-by shooting in Coventry.
A car pulled up in Raphael Close, Whoberley, and a firearm was discharged towards an Audi at around 10.30pm on Thursday, June 3.
When police arrived at the scene there was nobody with the Audi, however information received by West Midlands Police suggests someone may have been injured, but fled with other occupants.
A spokesman for the force said: "We’ve carried out checks but nobody appears to have presented at hospital with gunshot injuries at this stage.
"We’re in the early stages of our investigation as we seek to establish who was responsible for potentially putting lives at risk.
"We’re carrying out enquiries in the area and are asking for anyone with information to come forward. Damage was caused to the Audi and this is being forensically assessed.
"We’re particularly keen for anyone who was travelling through and may have dashcam footage of a car arriving or leaving Raphael Close or the surrounding area around the time."
Anyone with information can contact West Midlands Police via its Live Chat online or via 101, quoting crime reference 20/873965/21.
