A drug dealer has been jailed after his fingerprints were found on cocaine and cannabis at a house in Kenilworth.

In June 2019, officers from Warwickshire Police attended a report of a disturbance at a property in Essex Close but when they arrived there was no answer.

Concerned there might be someone injured inside, officers forced entry but the property was empty. However, they did find a quantity of cannabis and cocaine.

Enquiries linked the address to Andrew McAulay who returned there after being contacted by police.

Officers searched him and seized cash and two mobile phones. A search of the car led to drug paraphernalia being seized.

As officers were holding the phone orders for drugs were being sent to it.

McAulay was arrested and after fingerprints linked him to the drugs he was charged and later pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

Officers also found evidence he had been dealing ecstasy and McAulay also pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of the drug.

McAulay, 28, previously from Kenilworth but currently of Gresley Close, Stratford was sentenced on May 14 to three years and nine months in prison.
