Anger has erupted at the sight of anti-lockdown messages and stickers appearing in Nuneaton.

They have appeared in Riversley Park close to the heart of the town centre and has left some passers-by sickened and stunned.

One of the stickers has an emblem that says 'not government'.

It then goes on to mock the 'Hands Face Space' slogan campaign.

It reads: "We must never stop loving each other. Hands - live life. Face - ditch the mask. Embrace - choose love."

Another sticker reads: "No more lockdown. Enough is enough. Freedom'.

An angry passer-by contacted CoventryLive about the stickers and said: "I believe in free speech so I think it would be hypocritical to remove them, but I am fairly disgusted at the disrespect and indifference to the people who have lost the very loved ones these notices are telling them to love and embrace.

"They also call for an end to lockdown, as though it isn't in the process of being lifted. I don't think these selfish, manipulative people understand that things like this is making the lockdowns last longer."

Nice to see our local rag keeping up the official narrative.
