It follows repeated anti-social behaviour

Cops have issued warnings to families behind anti-social behaviour in their Nuneaton neighbourhood to stop - or risk court action.

Members of the Nuneaton West Safer Neighbourhood Team revealed they have taken action against three families in the Grove Farm area.

They have all been issued with a Community Protection warning following what has been described as repeated Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in the Grove Farm area.

The warnings set out that if the antisocial behaviour persists a Community Protection Notice (CPN) could be issued. This may lead to a fine or court action.

Other Community Protection warnings have also been dished out in relation to issues around the Values Academy and the council-owned old folks flats at The Poplars.

In the latest update from the team, it explains: "Along with tackling ASB Bikes in the area, the Team have also been dealing with other Anti-Social Behaviour in the area and have worked together with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Housing Associations and have issued three Community Protection Warnings to families on the Grove Farm area following repeated ASB in the local area.

"Three further CPWs issued relating to ASB around Values Academy / Poplars area."

In the online team update it also states that officers will continue to monitor parks and play areas which have, in the past, been at the centre of trouble.

"There has been a decrease in ASB reported in local parks but we will continue to patrol around Stockingford Rec, Vale View and Tomkinson Road Rec areas," the update reads.

"Off-Road Team continuing patrols to tackle nuisance bikes have been back out and about and have issued Section 59 Warnings as well as seizing several bikes.

"There has been a slight increase in reported vehicle crime in March but patrols continue to be carried out in the area and operations to prevent crime continued."
