Post Office staff threatened wth knife in armed robbery in Kenilworth

Armed police have been seen in Kenilworth this morning attending an armed robbery at a post office.

At around 9am this morning (February 12) a man walked into the store on Moseley Road.

He threatened the staff member with a knife demanding money from the till.

The man then left the shop with the cash.

Fortunately, nobody was injured during the incident but the person has been left shaken.

Enquiries are currently ongoing to locate and identify the man.

A police helicopter was seen over the town this morning, searching for the man.

Detective Sergeant Ollie Deakin from Warwickshire Police CID said: “Thankfully nobody was injured in this incident but this was a frightening experience for the victim.

“We’re keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.”

Teen arrested after post office knife robbery

A 16-year-old has been arrested after a post office was targeted in a knifepoint robbery.

Staff at the post office on Moseley Road in Kenilworth were targeted by an individual who was said to have a knife yesterday morning (Friday, February 12), prompting an armed police response.

Today, Warwickshire Police has said that a 16-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The teen, from Kenilworth, currently remains in police custody.

According to police, a man is alleged to have walked into the store and threatened staff with a knife before leaving with cash from the till.

Teen charged after alleged knifepoint robbery at Kenilworth shop

A teenage boy has been charged with robbery after an incident at a Post Office in Kenilworth last month.

On February 12, armed police were seen attending the shop on Moseley Road at around 9am.

A man walked into the store and allegedly threatened staff members with a knife before taking money from the till and leaving.

Fortunately, nobody was injured but people were left shaken.

Now, a 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with robbery in relation to the incident.

He will appear at Coventry Youth Court on March 25.
