Everyone in England must stay at home except for permitted reasons during a new coronavirus lockdown beginning at midnight, Boris Johnson has announced

All schools and colleges will close to most pupils and switch to remote learning until the middle of February.

In a televised address, the PM urged people to follow the rules immediately amid surging cases and patient numbers.

He said those in the top four priority groups would receive a first vaccine dose by mid-February.

Speaking from Downing Street, Mr Johnson said all the new measures will last until at least the middle of next month and that the weeks ahead would be the "hardest yet".

He added that he believed the country was entering "the last phase of the struggle".

And he reiterated the slogan used earlier in the pandemic, urging people to "stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives".

Those who are clinically extremely vulnerable will be contacted by letter and should now shield once more, Mr Johnson said.

Support and childcare bubbles will continue under the new measures - and people can meet one person from another household for outdoor exercise.

Communal worship and life events like funerals and weddings can continue, subject to limits on attendance.

While Mr Johnson said end-of-year exams would not take place as normal in the summer, he said alternative arrangements would be announced separately.

The government has published a 22-page document outlining the new rules in detail.

According to this if they people dont take the vacine lock down will continue on and on while all but one nightingale hospital remain empty or is it another consentration camp in a different form as most people have caught on to . This tells me a lot especially Tony Blair being involved its all about the money they make off vacines and how much is being made from selling masks and hand sanitiser both made in China.

As I walked the dog earlier (well before Bojob's announcement) I actually started understanding why people were taking their own lives. All I'm doing is walking the dog, eating, sleeping and occasionally watching the TV. That's not living: in fact, it's barely existing. - No, I'm not going to do anything silly, it's just an observation.

I notice that God bothering is still to be permitted under this latest lockdown!

Farrage makes some good points, but I'm afraid he (and Bozo and his cabinet) are missing the obvious with the Nightingale hospitals. Beds aren't the problem, staff are.

And the same holds true as regards any vaccination programme: insufficient staff. In theory, we ought to be running vaccination centres 24/7, especially if vaccines are the answers we're led to believe they are.

We might be saving a few lives now but I seriously think all we're doing is kicking the can down the road. We might mitigate a few covid deaths now, but sure as Hell, we'll be paying for it for years with other conditions that haven't been diagnosed and will turn fatal due to late diagnosis.

Johnson will go down in history as the worst PM this country has been graced with in many a long year. And by God, that's saying something.
