He was rushed to hospital on blue lights last night
A man was stabbed in the chest last night near the Greggs in Coventry city centre, it has been confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Smithford Way at 9.15pm.
Upon arrival, they found a man in his 30s who had suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in the chest.
He was given trauma care on scene by police officers and medical staff, before being taken to hospital on blue lights where he received more emergency care.
His condition is not life threatening.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and remains in custody.
