Two and three-bed apartments are plannedA car wash in Coventry could be demolished to make way for new apartments.
Plans have been submitted to Coventry City Council to flatten the existing buildings for the car wash on 256 Humber Road, in Lower Stoke.
Nine new apartments are proposed on the 0.158 hectare site for ‘market housing’, with layouts for the scheme showing a new two-storey building is planned.
Four two-bedroom apartments are proposed on the ground floor, while five apartments are planned on the first floor, all containing three bedrooms.
Four of the first floor apartments include a staircase to the third bedroom on the second floor.
The current car wash site includes a number of buildings behind houses on Humber Road which would be demolished to make way for 18 car parking spaces.
The car park would be accessed from the existing Humber Road entrance via an undercroft.
The application was validated by the council last week with a decision expected in January.
