It happened following reports of a fight involving around ten peopleA fight involving around ten people near Coventry city centre saw a teenager stabbed it has been revealed.
Police and paramedics were called to Stoney Stanton Road in Coventry on Wednesday evening (September 2) following reports of a fight involving around ten people or more.
The incident is believed started shortly after 6pm on Wednesday and prompted a large emergency services response.
On Wednesday evening a spokesman for West Midlands Police told CoventryLive they had been alerted to reports of a fight in progress along the road.
Also that it had been reported that around ten people were attacking another person.
Today the police force revealed an 18-year-old suffered stab wounds during the incident.
The victim was taken to hospital and although the police said his injuries were not thought to be serious West Midlands Ambulance Service said he received trauma care at the scene and “sustained serious injuries”.
