She robbed a man in Coventry using a knife but he was able to give a vital descriptionA knife-wielding robber was quickly tracked down by Coventry police because of her missing front teeth.
Tara Gregory pulled a weapon on her victim on Brighton Street in the city just days before Christmas last year.
After robbing cash from the man in his 20s and fleeing the scene, her victim was able to give police a description which included the fact his attacker was missing teeth.
Following the robbery just after 10pm on December 19, Gregory was spotted at 11:45 the same night on Wellington Street by beat officers where she was promptly arrested.
Gregory, aged 30 and of no fixed abode, was convicted of robbery following a trial and was sentenced at Warwick Combined Court on Wednesday (22 July).
DC Richard Walker, from Force CID at West Midlands Police, said: "Being threatened with a knife was a terrifying situation for the victim but he the acted quickly to contact us.
"The distinctive description - alongside our alert officers - meant she didn’t get far and is now behind bars."
