Police investigating after woman injured in Nuneaton assault

Detectives have been carrying out enquiries after a woman was hospitalised with a head injury after an assault in Nuneaton.

They have been going from flat-to-flat asking for information following the incident at Dorlecote Court earlier today (July 8).

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) sent an ambulance to the scene in Hill Top at 12.26pm after receiving a 999 call.

A WMAS spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of an assault on Dorlecote Court at 12.26pm and sent one ambulance to the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was treated for injuries not believed to be serious, before being taken to hospital."

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson explained the ongoing investigation.

"This was an assault at a property in Dorlecote Court," the spokesperson said.

"No arrests have been made at the moment and anyone with any information is being urged to come forward."

Anyone with information should call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident 145 of July 8.
