Coventry burglar threatened woman armed with knife in each hand

A Coventry man has been jailed after threatening a woman with knives inside her own home.

Justin Jones has been jailed for almost 10 years, after pleading guilty to aggravated burglary at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday (June 11).

The 25-year-old was caught by West Midlands Police fleeing the scene of the crime on Woodway Lane, Coventry, just before midnight on New Years Eve.

Police were called by the victim, and when officers arrived, they spotted Jones on the driveway in her car, having stolen the keys, along with a quantity of cash.

Jones, of Ansty Road, Wyken, jumped from the running Toyota Yaris and tried to flee from police.

However, he was Tasered and arrested, with one knife found near to him, and another inside the Toyota.

Today, West Midlands Police have revealed that he has been sentenced to nine years and six months in prison.
