Police investigating after man stabbed in Coventry alleyway

I'm picking up news of an incident in Broad St, Foleshill. Possibly a shooting or stabbing. Social media showing a guy on the ground with another holding a towel to his upper torso.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in alleyway in Foleshill last night (June 9).

The victim is believed to have been chased by a group before being attacked in the passageway off Webster Street.

The alarm was raised after he managed to make his way to a nearby shop.

The victim remains in hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.

West Midlands Police is appealing for information about the incident, which took place at 7.40pm.

A spokesman said: "We believe a man was chased into an alleyway by another group before being stabbed.

"He managed to make his way to a shop in Broad Street, where emergency services were called.

"The man remains in hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious."

The victim's sister has requested that the posted footage is taken down. It was still visible when I looked earlier.

I will say that I have the utmost admiration for the guy trying to stem any bleeding. Samaritan's like that are often a little thin on the ground.
