Another pedigree Bengal cat has disappeared amidst growing concerns of a feline crime wave.

Yesterday, CoventryLive reported how two pedigree cats – one Bengal and one a Ragdoll – went missing from neighbouring villages near Nuneaton and that their owners fear they have been stolen.

Now, another cat owner has come forward to say her pet is also missing, feared stolen.

Helen Waite said her Bengal kitten Venus disappeared on Monday, May 18.

Helen lives in the village of Hawkesbury, between Nuneaton and Coventry.

Venus, who is nine months old, was last seen leaving the garden at around lunchtime on Monday, and there have been no reported sightings since then.

It’s very unusual behaviour, added Helen, who said she is “convinced she has been taken” and is reporting Venus’ disappearance to police.

Lisa Dean, who runs a national Facebook group called Beauty’s Legacy, which aims to reunite lost pets and their owners, has created a Facebook page and posters to help raise awareness and find Venus.

She is appealing for anyone who drove through Hawkesbury on Monday to check any CCTV or dash cam footage they may have.

Venus is microchipped and spayed.

Anyone with information can call the Beauty’s Legacy project on 07866026343.
