Vulnerable people in Warwick will be contacted in the next few weeks to check they’re ok.

Warwick District Council is publicising the checks to reassure people that they aren’t bogus calls.

Officers will be focusing on those who have been identified as vulnerable and need to shield, but who haven’t yet registered on the government website.

They’ll be checking to see if any help is needed.

Councillor Judy Falp, Portfolio Holder for Health & Community Protection, said: “We want to reassure people that these aren’t bogus calls and that help is available to them if they need it; we won’t ask you for any personal details.

“If anyone receives a call and is unsure, they can hang up and re-dial our dedicated number – 01926 456111 (Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm) – to check the validity of the person calling.”

:hysterical: They are having laugh are nt they.

Like Coventry then asking do you need any help like shopping its taken just over 8 weeks after lock down started for them to ask they are a joke if the vulnerable cant go out and have no one to help them they would likely be dead after 8 weeks with being unabled to go out and get food .

As most supermarkets will only accept card only how could they do your shopping even the carers that may not be trusted with your bank details when the bank states never give your bank details or pin number to any one .
This government and local councils have proven to us all now they are not fit for purpose towards the oaps and vulnerable.
