Police have confirmed that a father-of-three who had been missing for three weeks has died in hospital in Coventry.

Neil Parkes, from Leicester, was reported missing on May 4 by his family but had not been seen since Monday, April 27, our sister paper LeicesterLive reports.

CoventryLive issued an appeal to find the 41-year-old last week after Leicestershire Police said they believed he may have been in Nuneaton or Bedworth, where he has links.

Police have now revealed Mr Parkes was found at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, where he died.

A Leicestershire Police spokesman said: “Inquiries into missing Leicester man, Neil Parkes, have concluded after he was located in a hospital in Coventry on Thursday.

“Officers have since been notified that he sadly died in hospital.

“Mr Parkes, 41, was reported missing to police on 4 May by his family.”

May he rest in peace.
