The death of a man whose body was recovered from a river in a park is being treated as suspiciousThe body was spotted in the River Leam in Jephson Gardens, close to Willes Road, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, at about 06:25 BST.
Police and the fire service attended and recovered it from the water.
The Warwickshire force said the cause of death was not known and formal identification was yet to take place.
Det Insp Teresa McKenna said: "Sadly we have been unable to identify the man as he did not have any identification on his person so we are appealing for the public's help to identify him.
"The man is described as white, in his late 30s to early 40s, of medium build, clean shaven, with blond hair and blue eyes.
"He was wearing a black puffer jacket with a hood, a navy blue long-sleeved England football t-shirt, black Lonsdale tracksuit bottoms and grey Hi-Tec 'Exodus' trainers.
"We have also released a picture of a set of keys found on his person in the hope that someone recognises these."
A police spokesman said Jephson Gardens remained cordoned off while investigations were ongoing "to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident".
