There were reports across Nuneaton

Rule breaking garden parties with family and friends have been reported across Nuneaton over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Neighbourhood Watch Association said it received information about gatherings in Stockingford and Camp Hill.

The alleged parties, which were said to include family and friends not from within the households, fly in the face of government coronavirus measures.

There have also been reports of gatherings at Ensor's Pool, off Heath End Road, with some claims that people were swimming in the water.

A post on the Nuneaton and Bedworth Neighbourhood Watch Association on Facebook reads: "Several parties in gardens reported, all with family or friends over that do not live with them.

"We are currently seeing the highest death rates per capita in the world from COVID-19, and yet people still think it's someone else's problems."

Warwickshire Police have been contacted for comment.
