Fire crews were called to Willenhall

Fire crews were called out last night to bin fires they believe had been set "deliberately".

Officers were sent to Willenhall where they had to put out a number of bin fires.

They thought they had been set "deliberately", even though everyone should be inside their homes due to a nationwide lockdown.

Crews from both Coventry and Binley station attended to put out the flames, which fortunately did not escalate into anything larger.

A tweet put out by one of the fire fighters said: "@WMFSCoventry & @Binley_Fire Red Watch both busy attending large bins deliberately set on fire in early hours of morning in Willenhall.

"Someone’s not staying home and staying safe."

People's stupidity knows no bounds.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

Nothing surprises me any more in this city.
Perhaps they thought buring and breathing in smoke from plastic would kill Covid 19.

I'm keeping well away from communal bins right now as the last time I went near them I got a lungful of not too pleasant fumes. :tinfoilhat:
