Mindless teens raided a Nuneaton butchers for a basket of eggs - only to dump them just yards later down the road.

The theft from Chadwicks Fine Foods by Keli and Chris on Arbury Road earlier today (April 9) has caused outrage on social media.

The pair, thought to be aged between 15 and 16-years-old, went into the shop and took a basket of eggs.

One of the owners tried to give chase but the pair fled.

The basket of broken eggs has since been found on the popular cut through between Heath End Road and Croft Road.

A hunt is now on to find the pair, who were reportedly last seen by Ensors Pool on Heath End Road.

One has been described as wearing a grey tracksuit with brown hair and quite tall.

His accomplice was also in a grey tracksuit with black writing and he had black bushy hair.

Anyone with any information about the pair should call police on 101.

Details can also be passed on via the Crimestoppers hotline, which is free to call from a landline and confidential, on 0800 555 111.
