Woman killed in traffic collision near Tamworth

A woman has died in a traffic collision near the Warwickshire and Staffordshire border.


Emergency services were called to the road which links Amington and Shuttington, near Tamworth, close to the Pretty Pigs Inn, during Wednesday night.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said crews found two cars which were badly damaged.

The woman died at the scene.

A man in the other car was taken to hospital.
