New timetables will kick in from March 25

National Express is making changes to its timetable which will see reduced services on route across Coventry.

The changes are set to kick in from Wednesday, March 25, and passengers are being urged to check the new timetables, which will be available online from Monday, March 23.

No bus routes are being cut, although a number will be running less often throughout the day.

The changes will include:

    ● Weekday services operating on Saturday timetables with some extra buses during peak hour journeys

    ● Saturday and Sunday buses will remain the same

    ● On all routes, early morning buses will be as close as possible to existing times

    ● There will be no change to the timings of last buses

    ● Special timetables will operate on the 4A, 13A, 21A services to business parks.

    ● X30 (Ansty Park) will operate its normal weekday timetable.
National Express says that dedicated school routes will not be operating anyway next week due to the schools closing.

National Express UK Bus Commercial Director, Chris Gibbens, said: “It is important we continue to serve our customers and help keep Coventry and the wider West Midlands moving as best we can. So we are not cancelling any of our bus routes.

"We are trying to minimise the disruption for customers by taking buses off some of our more frequent services, but not making any changes to routes that run less often.

“We will be publishing all the new timetables on our website http://www.nxbus.co.uk/coventry. They will be available from Monday, March 23. I’d urge everyone to check them before they travel.”

So after having waited an extra SIX YEARS to qualify for a bus pass, there are no longer any off-peak services I can use it on! :fuming:

That's very interesting Melisandre, thank you

I wonder if that has something to do with supermarkets now opening early for the elderly and disabled?
