Police say a body found in Coventry parkland today is thought to be missing mum Cassandra Pyatt.

The 26-year-old, known as Cassie, had been missing since March 10.

Coventry police said a body was found off Kitchener Road in Coventry this morning.

In a statement this afternoon, police said: "Although formal identification has not yet taken place, it is thought to be missing mum-of-two Cassandra Pyatt, who went missing from her home last week.

"The 26-year-old's family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

"Her death is not currently being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the coroner."

Cassie, an NHS worker, was last seen at her family home on March 10.

West Midlands Police said in a previous appeal her disappearance had been totally out of character.

Speaking to CoventryLive earlier this week, Cassie's mum Johanna said: "She's normally a very caring and good mother, and she has been so supportive since my husband died.

"When I went to bed on Tuesday night (March 10) she was there and when I got up on Wednesday morning she wasn't there."

We never did find out what happened.

That particular park is a known hangout for drug dealers but it's never been explained where she was in the ten days before that or why she even left home in the first place?
