The Squirrel, formerly owned by Punch, has re-opened its doors in Greyfriars LaneNew owners of Coventry pub The Squirrel have promised to make it the 'go-to' place. The Greyfriars Lane-based boozer Has re-opened its doors and drinkers and diners are being welcomed in.
The owners say it boasts a 'traditional' feel. And they are letting punters know that the pub not only boasts an array of drinks but also a seven day a week new menu featuring a range of 'mouth-watering home-made' pies.
Pies on offer include steak and kidney, chicken. But there are also more adventurous dishes such as mushroom chicken Balti pie, Philly cheesesteak, bacon and cauliflower-cheese pie - "home-made and fresh, every day".
Richard Easter, owner of The Squirrel, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to welcome the community back to The Squirrel. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where people can come together to enjoy good home-made food, great company, and the vibrant atmosphere that defines a traditional British pub.
"We can't wait to become a staple in the Coventry social scene." Laura Gaffney, general manager of The Squirrel, added: "Taking on the role of general manager at The Squirrel is a fantastic opportunity, and I am genuinely thrilled to be a part of this exciting venture.

Punch previously owned the pub. But, in January 2020, revealed that it no longer fitted into its plans.
