Body found in search for missing Nuneaton fisherman

Roger Wheat was last seen on Tuesday fishing on the River Dove



The search for a missing Nuneaton granddad has been called off – after police found a body.

Roger Wheat has not been seen since Tuesday, January 7 when he was fishing on the River Dove in Staffordshire at Ellastone.

There was a huge response after police launched an appeal to find the dad-of-two, from the Higham Lane area of Nuneaton.

Officers have thanked everyone who helped during the search.

Mr Wheat’s family have been informed.
