'It's such a shame that their actions have such a knock on effect'Bus bosses have been forced to divert a bus route in Nuneaton town centre due to inconsiderate motorists picking up missed parcels.
Due to the sheer number of cars parked around the Royal Mail delivery office off Church Street, Stagecoach has been unable to get buses down there.
Traditionally there are traffic issues around the parcel collection area but, with Christmas just days away, there are even more vehicles being left on the roads while people queue to pick up parcels.
In fact, the problem is so bad that the company has been forced to take the decision not to run any buses via the delivery office until after Christmas.
'It's such a shame that their actions have such a knock on effect'
A spokesperson for Stagecoach said: "Due to people choosing to park badly while collecting their post & parcels from the Royal Mail sorting office it makes it really difficult for us to pick up and drop off passengers from the Library. We are therefore left with little option to divert.
"It's such a shame that their actions have such a knock on effect.
"We are however doing what we can for our customers but the diversion will remain in place until after Christmas when things calm down."
