Margaret McDonagh and Gerard McInerney have been slapped with a criminal behaviour order (CBO) which bans them from a host of clothes stores after their crime spree earlier this year.

The pair, both from Bulwer Road in Radford, admitted stealing clothing worth £955 from Outfit and children's clothing worth £217 from Next, both at Central Six Retail Park, and then a further £362 worth of clothes from Next at Arena Shopping Park.

McDonagh, 29, also pleaded guilty to a further charge of stealing men's clothing worth £364 from Next at Central Six.

She and McInerney, 22, are both now prohibited from entering Next, JD Sports, Arcadia Group stores (including Burton, Topshop, Outfit, Miss Selfridge, Evans and Wallis), Sports Direct and River Island in Coventry under the CBO, which lasts for two years.

McDonagh was also made subject to an eight-week curfew with an electronic tag from 8pm-6am and told to pay a total of £1,130 compensation, £100 court costs and a £85 victim surcharge.

Meanwhile, McInerney was given a community order with 160 hours of unpaid work and ordered to fork out £768 in compensation, £455 court costs and a £85 victim surcharge.
