A new vision has been unveiled which includes cafe bars, restaurants and even a hotel



Ambitious plans to transform the face of Bedworth town centre have been revealed.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has unveiled a wish-list of how it intends to regenerate the town centre.

There was disquiet on the other side of the A444 when the 'Transforming Nuneaton' proposals were revealed earlier in the year but now there is a 'Bedworth Town Centre Visioning' plan.

Contained within it are a series of artists impressions on how the town centre could look.

There are 12 aspirations for development, which are listed below.

The plans...

* Enhance All Saints Square, creating a vibrant centre around All Saints Church.

* Improve sense of place at the Almshouses frontage.

* Extend green spaces further into the heart of Bedworth.

* Introduce a focal point at the junction of All Saints Square and King Street.

* Consider a visual link between All Saints Church and the Almshouses.

* Consider the Market space and create a link with All Saints Church and the Almshouses.

* Improve views into Bedworth from the Ringway.

* Introduce focal point developments at gateway positions on the Ringway.

* Encourage frontage development onto the Ringway.

* Opportunity for landmark building at All Saints Square next to bus stops, fronting onto Mill Street.

* Improve approach from the Railway Station.

* Improve views of All Saints Church tower.
