"Two men shot in Coventry city centre"

Both men were taken to hospital for treatment



Two men have been shot in Coventry city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The double shooting took place in Jordan Well just before 12.30am.

The men who were injured are aged 22 and 26.

One suffered head injuries and the other was left with arm injuries.

Both were taken to hospital to be treated for their wounds and they remained in hospital this morning.

Neither of the men are believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the police.

West Midlands Police have now launched an investigation into the double shooting and have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
