Driver flees scene of crash in Foleshill

Police and firefighters were called to the collision

Police are appealing for information after a driver fled the scene of a collision in Foleshill.

The incident happened around 2.30pm today (Friday, September 27) on George Eliot Road and involved a Volkswagen Polo which hit a parked car.

The Polo driver ran off and West Midlands Police are now eager to trace the driver who disappeared from the scene.

Police and fire crews were attended the incident.

A spokesman for the force said: "A Volkswagen Polo went into the back of a stationary Mercedes car on the road, which in turn went into the back of a Honda Civic.

"Enquiries continue to trace the driver of the Volkswagon, who fled the scene."
