A Coventry man has been charged with making threats to kill.

Police were called to a property on Walsall Street in Canley, following reports of a man allegedly making threats yesterday evening (Sunday, September 22).

On arrival, they arrested a 27-year-old man.

He appeared before Coventry Magistrates' Court this morning (September 23), and will appear at Warwick Crown Court on October 24.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A man has been charged after allegedly making threats at a house in Walsall Street, Canley, Coventry yesterday evening (Sunday 22 September).

"David O’Neill aged 27, from Gurney Close, Tile Hill, Coventry was arrested last night and has since been charged with making threats to kill, burglary, theft and assault."
