Man charged over Tile Hill stabbing

Police have charged a man after a stabbing in Coventry on Friday morning (September 6).

Officers and paramedics responded to an incident in Nickson Road, Tile Hill, at around 10.10am and a found a man in his 40s who had suffered multiple injuries.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

West Midlands Police stated that a 56-year-old man was arrested and taken into police custody for questioning.

The force has today told CoventryLive that Gary Pensom, 56, from Nickson Road, Tile Hill, has been charged with wounding with intent.

He has has been remanded to appear before Coventry Magistrates' Court on Monday (September 9).

Coventry man jailed for stabbing neighbour

A Coventry man was jailed for two-and-a-half years for stabbing his neighbour.

Gary Pensom was on trial at Warwick Crown Court last week after another man suffered multiple injuries during an incident in Tile Hill in September last year.

Police officers and paramedics found the injured man in Nickson Road at around 10.10am on Friday, September 6 and he was taken to hospital.

Among the medical crews called to the incident was an ambulance, two paramedic officers and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire air ambulance critical care car.

Gary Pensom was arrested and later charged with wounding offences and stood trial at Warwick Crown Court.

The 57-year-old, of Nickson Road, was convicted of unlawful wounding and sentenced on Friday (June 26) to two-and-a-half years in prison.

Pensom , who was found not guilty of wounding with intent, racially aggravated wounding and possession of an offensive weapon, was also made subject to a 10-year restraining order banning him from contacting his victim.
