Latest Coventry cannabis factory found in Foleshill

Over 400 cannabis plants and cuttings were found by police in Coventry.

Officers say they tried to carry out a "routine arrest attempt" in Foleshill which led to them finding the cannabis factory in Princess Street at around 8.30am on Monday (August 12).

Foleshill Police posted details of on Twitter, stating: "Routine arrest attempt resulted in a decent haul of over 200 adult cannabis plants and 227 cuttings."

A spokesman for West Midlands Police added that no arrests have been made and enquiries are on-going.

The factory on Princess Street was the third cannabis set-up found by police in Coventry so far in August.

Officers forced their way in to a property in Gulson Road, Stoke, on Monday, August 5, and found three underground rooms full of cannabis plants.

Two days later on August 7, a raid in Lythalls Lane uncovered 140 plants and a man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.
