A woman was stabbed in the back twice by masked men in an attempted robbery
West Midlands Police said the 18-year-old woman was with a friend in the Willenhall area of Coventry on Tuesday when they were approached by a group of about six men.
They demanded cash and jewellery before attacking the woman on St James Lane at about 14:30 BST.
She was taken to hospital with two stab wounds. The force said she was not seriously injured.
Investigations continue and the force has appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.

Man charged after 18-year-old stabbed in back twice and robbed
Detectives have charged a man following a robbery where an 18-year-old woman was stabbed in the back twice.
Police say three men are understood to have approached the victim in St James Lane, Willenhall, at just after 2.30pm on August 6 and took cash and a mobile phone.
Despite sustaining two stab wounds to her back, the teenager was not seriously injured.
Daniel Callum, 20, of Pinley Fields, Stoke Aldermoor, has since been charged with robbery.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Warwick Crown Court on September 12.
Two other 19-year-old men have been bailed while enquiries continue.
