The family of a retained firefighter who died in a collision in Warwickshire on Tuesday have paid tribute to him.

Gary Williams, 38, of Pebworth, Worcestershire, died when a Land Rover he was driving left the B4632 near to Long Marston airfield and overturned.

The crew manager at Pebworth fire station was a "highly regarded member of the local community" and would be missed by many, his widow, Maria, said.

He also leaves a mother, father, brother and three young children.

Mr Williams ran his own mechanical business at Long Marston and worked with young firefighters at Bidford fire station in Warwickshire.

Speaking on behalf of the family, his widow said: "We are absolutely devastated at the sad loss of our husband, father, son and brother."
