People have been warned to stay on alert after the incident last night

A warning has been issued after a drive-by egging in Nuneaton.

Those in the Weddington area have been told to stay on alert after the incident last night (June 24).

A man was hit with an egg thrown from a black VW Golf, according to a neighbourhood watch group, as he walked his dog near to the Anker pub.

Weddington Neighbourhood Watch Alerts posted a warning to residents on social media.

It reads: "Watch out for idiots in a black VW Golf throwing eggs."

"Just be on your alert glad it wasn't a child or a pram, would of possibly hurt them quite bad," the post concludes.

Anyone with information can contact Warwickshire Police on 101.

I wouldn't bother, the police seem to think it's a 'harmless prank by kids' and not worth following up. :fuming:

Had it happen to both of us on the Foleshill Rd at different times. It hurts and it makes a mess. Unfortunately, you need to be very quick to get the reg No. of the miscreants.
