Six people arrested during a drugs raid in Foleshill - including a 14-year-old boy - have been released on police bail.

The arrests were made when officers carried out a planned raid at a flat in Jenner Street on Tuesday, May 14, after receiving intelligence from members of the community.

A number of weapons, including a home-made spear created from a broom handle with a large knife taped to the end, were seized along with a quantity of suspected class A drugs.

A door to the flat was broken down by officers, before they were met by a second, reinforced door.

During this time, two men are said to have jumped from a first-floor window before being detained by officers.

In total six people - a 14-year-old boy from Keresley, an 18-year-old man and 19-year-old woman from Coventry, two men aged 19 and 46 from Stoke, and a 34-year-old woman from Foleshill - were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

West Midlands Police has today (May 15) stated that all six have been released pending further investigation with bail dates in August.
